hi!!i heard that theres not much scope in bio-tech in india.i hav given tenth exams & wanted to know the scope of bio-tech.i m also pursuing for iit-jee2011

it is not fully correct, although biotech is a growing field in india but it has a lot of scope but for biotech point of view not much research is been done so it has very good future

The scope of biotechnology in India is also enormous. It is a field that involves engineers, biologists, and many other such professionals. According to a survey conducted by Ernst and Young, Asia is set to become a hotbed for biotechnology related research and development and India is supposed to emerge as a destination which will see a notable expansion in the biotechnology sector. The areas where biotechnology has grown in India include Bio informatics, Agricultural biotechnology, Bio fertilizers, National Bio resource Development and Plant Biology

  i’ll advice u that don’t listen others first of all u should do ur work with full consistency and passion. bcoz there is no scarcity of opportunities for eligible people. so u should do best from your side.

  Well said coolrna….If not all people at least you should not listen to the inexperienced people or the irrelevant people. Try to talk to the people who are related to Biotech and who have knowledge about this field. Though I am not from Biotech field, my knowledge regarding this field tells me that the scope for this field in India is bright and will be brighter in the future to come. Of course this is the knowledge imparted by my friends and peers from this field.
